About
I hope to inspire any viewer of my artwork to see the world around them with joy. There is so much beauty in every crack and corner, and occasionally I think we need it brought to us through a different medium in order to begin to see it again. While much art has deep meaning or call to action, I often want my art to be fresh air to people. I aim to allow people to relax into just enjoying something beautiful, without having to analyze it for any hidden messages.
I do most of my work in clay mediums, as well as occasionally through woodburning, textiles, or 2D drawing and painting. My art is inspired by botanicals, natural scenes, and fantasy. I love to include movement into my art, whether by depicting flowing fabric, a swirling sky, or a bumblebee suspended in flight. I am deeply inspired by artists like Van Gogh and Monet, with their stylistic landscape and scenic art.
